In business, there are many opportunities around us.One must decide WHO they want to be and “who” they want to be that to. This is much easier said than done. One of the ways to do this, is simply to figure out what you really like. Do you know what you really like?  Each choices comes with different “Vicissitudes and Plentitudes”.  I just learned these two words a few days ago and I LOVE THEM!

When we take a look at the word, “Vicissitudes”

  1. the quality or state of being changeable :  mutabilityb :  natural change or mutation visible in nature or in human affairs

  2. 2a :  a favorable or unfavorable event or situation that occurs by chance :  a fluctuation of state or condition the vicissitudes of daily lifeb :  a difficulty or hardship attendant on a way of life, a career, or a course of action and usually beyond one’s controlc :  alternating change :  succession

There is a lot at stake with this one little word. In business, my thought is, we want to minimize our Vicissitudes.  At the same time, “Plenitudes” is where it’s at for me.

Plenitudes-

1. fullness or adequacy in quantity, measure, or degree; abundance:

a plenitude of food, air, and sunlight.

2.

state of being full or complete.

 Who doesn’t want more “Plenitudes”?

Believe it or not, there are some people that “believe” you must “struggle” before you succeed. I don’t subscribe to this doctrine, so in essence it doesn’t exist for me.  When we speak of life it gets pretty interesting, when we start to break down “belief systems and laws”. There are “man-made” laws which can be changed. Then there are “Laws of the Universe” that exist WITH our WITHOUT your belief or even knowledge of them.

One of my favorite books in recent history is “Karma is Negotiable-Destiny and the Divine Power of Love”.

The beauty of this book is what it breaks down about the “Universe”. Cause and Effect are “laws”. Even if you choose “not” to believe in them, they are still real.

At the same time, we all have “regular belief systems” of what we believe is possible and isn’t. My “belief system” is ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE. So therefore many wonderful things happen to me, because I believe they will.  We all have a “choice” to believe in what we want to. However, our “Attitude” in this belief is EVERYTHING! We shape our futures and our destinies with our actions.

Yesterday, I experienced a perfect example of this. I was at Publix, where “Shopping is a Pleasure”. I really LOVE this store.  It’s consistently good. Even when it’s busy, it’s still a nice experience. I walked in and right at the front of the store, they had these BEAUTIFUL Blueberry Muffins. These muffins looked so great, when the cashier was ringing them up, she stopped in her tracks and said “OH, These look SO GOOD!”, they don’t look like this all the time! I said “I know, that’s why I got them (not to mention they were buy one get one free). I said “someone made them with love”, the Cashier replied, “The real  nice lady back there, she always puts care into it”. The bag chic replied “Instead of that real mean one, her stuff never looks good”.

Do you realize that our attitudes play out in the “body of our work”? This ladies work for the day was “Blueberry Muffins” and it changed the projection of life as we know it. The lady with the bad attitude in actuality COST PUBLIX SALES!! The nice ladies attitude INCREASED SALES. I was not checking for a blueberry muffin when I walked in that store.  In short, your ATTITUDE IS EVERYTHING!
